£170m of government money.
Yours for the taking.

The Department for Transport is funding up to 70% of the cost of installing EV charging at fleet depots. Chargers, civils, cabling, slabs — covered. Up to £1 million per organisation.

If you run HGVs, vans, or coaches out of a depot and you're thinking about electric — or you've already started — this pays for the infrastructure you need.

You put in 30%. The government puts in 70%. AIM delivers the install.

The grant pays for the hard stuff.

Eligible

Chargepoints — any type, any speed
Civil engineering — trenching, ducting, cable routes, slabs
Electrical components and contractor labour
Battery storage and solar PV (if integrated with chargers)

Outside the grant

Grid connection and capacity upgrades
Planning applications
VAT and ongoing maintenance
Project management and admin costs

We do the work.
You sign the form.

The grant application goes in your name — only fleet operators can apply. But AIM handles the technical side so you're not starting from scratch.

Your application is only as strong as your contractor.

Section 4 of the application asks you to name your primary installation contractor, upload their qualifications, and explain why you picked them. Most EV install contractors lead with NICEIC alone.

AIM leads with this:

CHAS Elite Avetta Achilles UVDB Civils

Utilities-grade pre-qualification. It de-risks your application, makes your procurement narrative write itself, and gives the assessor confidence that the work will get done properly.

We've reviewed the scheme end to end — the FAQ, the application form, the workbook, the grant funding agreement. We know where the eligible costs sit, where the watch-outs are, and how to structure a quote that doesn't trip you up.

Delivered. Every time.

Here's how it actually works.

The government wants fewer diesel trucks on UK roads. To make that happen, they need depots wired for electric. So they're paying 70p of every pound it costs to install chargers at your yard.

You fill in one form. They give you up to a million quid. AIM digs the trenches, lays the cable, and bolts in the chargers. You claim the grant back in stages as the work gets done.

That's it. No catch. No repayment. It's a grant, not a loan.

The only risk is not applying before the money runs out.
